Healing Power of Jesus - Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

"One of the synagogue officials named Jarius came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet and implored Him earnestly, saying, 'My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live."

Ever since the initial thoughts and planning began forThe Dallas Revival, my wife Lauraand I have also had to deal with a dose of life-threatening reality.It isa reality thathasn't gone away for our family. You see, towards the end of October 2006, my wife and I discovered my little 2-year old daughter Maya was diagnosed with Langer Hans Cell Disease Hystiocytosis (LCH).This blood disease is a rare condition in which only 8 kidsget out of 1 million.I will never forget when the doctor revealed the news to us. We had been waiting 5 days to get theprognosis.It took so long to figure out becauseLCH is rarely seen, and develops in different forms. In Maya's case, because of her white blood cells producing faster than they should (and her body not disposing of them quick enough), her spleen was enlarged,and her lymph nodesin her neck and stomach got much bigger. Tobattle the disease for Maya, LCH is treated like cancereven though it is not. Sothe doctors placed a port in her chest, and for weeks she has received chemotherapy, along with steroids and blood pressure medicine.

Well,since the conception of this disease (it literallyjust shows up withoutany warning), we have asked and pleadedbefore the Lord to heal our daughter. We have seen some results of the power of prayer. They told us 4 weeks ago, that there was no more diseasein her spleen andin her lymph nodes. Praise the Lord! However, they found some "signs" of the disease behind her right eye bone. Sothe tireless journey continues. Today, Maya goes in forchemotherapyinjected into her port (in her chest). As well, as she beginstaking steroids everyday this week.May I be so blunt, but Lord Jesus, heal my daughter. Just as Jairus fell at Jesus' feet, I too place myself at the feet of Jesus, and say, "Please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live." I believeJesuscan heal Maya. But it takes faith. It takes persistence. It takes prayer.Will you please join me in praying for theCOMPLETE healing and restoration for my daughter's body?

I simply want to hear the words of Jesus for my daughter, "'Talitha kum!' (which translated means, 'Little girl, I say to you, get up!'" (Mark 5:41) forMaya iswell.Let there be no moredisease! Please pray with my family and ask Jesus to reveal His healing power upon Maya.
